Welcome

Welcome to United Clyde Angling Protective Association (UCAPA), where the Legacy of the Clyde meets Future-Focused Stewardship.

The UCAPA directors extend a warm welcome to all visitors to our newly revamped website. Immerse yourself in over 130 years of rich history and current endeavours of our association, a community led group, primarily focused on the stewardship and management of the River Clyde and its tributaries within our control.

Our heritage, passed down from generations of dedicated members, forms the foundation of the exceptional angling experiences and river ecosystems available on the River Clyde today. We ensure that all monies from fishing permit sales are judiciously reinvested in the management and improvement of UCAPA controlled waters.

If you’re interested in joining our association, please see our contact page or membership page.

Our Heritage and Mission

Founded in 1887, UCAPA is committed to enhancing the protection of angling on the River Clyde as embodied and embraced within our Articles of Association.

Our efforts encompass conservation, research, and community involvement wholly managed by a dedicated team of volunteers.
